Built by a soldier. Built for the trades.
Outdoor Deck & Design is veteran owned and operated. Here is who is behind it — and why it exists.
Andrew Fontaine
Founder & Owner · U.S. Army Reserve First Sergeant · Tradesman
For 24 years I have served in the U.S. Army Reserve, where I now serve as a First Sergeant. The Army taught me that the mission comes first, your people come right behind it, and nothing gets done without a plan.
Outside of uniform, I have spent my working life around the trades. I work full time in the electric utility field, and I have always been the guy fixing, wiring, plumbing and building — including the decks in my own backyard. I know what it is like to finish a long day and still have quotes to write at the kitchen table.
That is why I started Outdoor Deck & Design in 2026. I wanted tools that let contractors design, price and close a job on the spot — and a business that serves homeowners with the same discipline and integrity I learned in the military.
When I am not on a job site or in uniform, I am with my wife and our two kids. Family is the reason behind all of it.

The same standards that apply in uniform apply on every deck we design and every tool we build.
